★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While the following is true i began working for then and became a close contact, however the moment I was cleared I realised I wasn’t paid. I tried contacting on multiple occasions but one week of work completely unpaid and refuses to contact me at all regarding this.
You can have the best food and coffee but slavery is not how you treat staff. Filing a complaint. And definitely won’t be building a better website anymore. That was going to be on volunteer basis but if they can be bothered to pay hard working staff min pay… they don’t deserve it.
Been to many cafes up and down the country and this is by far the best! The service is so friendly, the food tastes better than Gordon Ramsays cooking and the coffee is just phenomenal!!! It if could give more than 5 stars I would!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A hidden taonga! First time visit today, DEFINITELY not the last. Super warm, friendly staff, lovely vibe and stunning food. SO pleased we all the *smaller* sized brekkie - it was very generous and every part of it was perfect. I said there, and I'll say it again, tino pai, rawa atu! Nga mihinui!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I come to potting shed a lot however today MOTHERS DAY was pretty appalling, my children cried as we left. We ordered our Kai, patiently waited as it was really busy being Mother’s Day however an hour and a half later I ask the young boy who was waitressing at the time “where our Kai was” he said it could be a long wait… I then said to him “we’ve waited long already” he then walks off to see what’s happening and in this time my partner goes to the counter to see what’s happening, he is told we will have to wait another half an hour for our food, he tells the chief we’ve been waiting for an hour and a half and he’s seen people that came later than us receive their meals, the poor chief was unknown to our order and said “I can do your order but it would take 30mins” by then I just wanted to leave. The main girl who serves the customers then tells us “OMG we have a new girl who lost your guys order” “two options wait for your meal or get a refund” Of course we’re going to get a refund but DAMNNN that was not the point, the point is we waited that LONG just to be told our order was lost. WHY WAS THIS NOT ADDRESSED EARLIER!!!!! Apart from all that IT RUINED MY KIDS SURPRISE BREAKFAST THAT THEY SHOUTED FOR MUM!!! I’m so upset that my children cried in the car park. We did receive a refund and a comment about “my teeth being pretty” and that I should apply for a job there next time I’m in there which I thought was really sarcastic…. Just for future reference I’m a social worker, no way would I work in hospitality after that service we received today.
Just thought I’d put it out there, you cannot run a cafe when it’s busy with ONE CHEIF one front of house and one floor person. You may need more staff to help out when it’s busy times

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazingly super friendly staff - the best service I've had in a long time. Brilliant food and coffee. Even though they were extremely busy today nothing was a problem. Caters for all types of dietary needs. Did I say the coffee was the best. Beautiful outdoor area to sit at of you want. Indoors is spacious.
Will definitely be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decided to try out this place for Mother’s Day. Had heard so many good things about this cafe, we thought we would try it! Menu looked delish! There was a queue of us waiting to be served, which we understood they were a bit under the pump and it was Mother’s Day. But only 2 staff members on?? C’mon! While we are all still waiting for service the FOH lady ended up doing a very odd speech to the cafe which left us feeling incredibly uncomfortable we had to leave.
