Great views of the lake and the river flowing below connecting the two lakes. Good place for some quick pictures as well.

It's worth doing the track up to this place, but if you have time to go up until the end, please do!! We just visited it and the full track is opened back again. (Sep'19)

The view from this bridge is amazing. If you're short on time to do the entire Hooker Valley track, at least get to the second bridge, which can be reached in under 1.5hrs.

I went to the end of September and it is so beautiful. I think it is the most memorable place with Milford Sound that I visited a few days later. It takes three round trips. We can not stop walking in the scenery while we go.

These bridges are both a mini-thrill as it truly does swing about with a max capacity of 20 people and then a scenic experience that's hard to walk away from. So, even whilst the water is a very dull brown-grey right now at least, seeing how fast it moves and crashes against the rocks underneath and then the glaciers way up high makes walk to here a minimum requirement for Mt Cook trekking.

Visited two weeks ago. The gust was so big that I couldn't walk without holding the handrails. An adventure experience. The funny thing was that the sign in front of the bridge says "2 person limit". We waited there until one guy crossed the bridge and told us the color for 0 faded away. It is "20 person limit" which is clearly stated on the other end. LOL

Hooker valley was a nice walk. Must do it when you are in Mt Cook! Easy hike but be prepared for weather change. I brought 3 different layers and hiking boots water proof. It rained so the water proof shoes were very good. Also brought the hat and sunglasses for the sun and rain. Bring a bottle of water and a couple of snack bars for a short break. Many places to take pictures!
