★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rather a nice stop for a taste of genuine french ambiance. Menu is very limited but what we had was nice. Suspect they would get much more repeat business and becomes a destination with a wider choice. Definitely recommend though and the surprise shop next door was a real bonus.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing brunch!! The food was fantastic quality and the quantity was generous. I had mushroom on Pomme Anna potato with added poached egg and bacon. Well worth the cost. Thank you Trading Post.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Generally good food with french influence, however I'm always pretty disappointed when a cafe serves canned whip cream. The service could be improved greatly, there was no welcome or info on how to order (table service or up at the counter), in addition we had been given our meals and finished them before our drinks arrived. So, food is OK, experience is a bit poor.
Edit: after we reminded the team they made the drinks. I had ordered an iced latte, this is advertised as coming with whipped cream, it dosen't. I actually think it is better without (particularly since it would have been canned... but still. Not as advertised.)

Bree was Awesome (chek out her smiles), chef came and chatted, we were allowed our fur child (outside of course)- where there were heaters and blankets.
And then truffles.
They do truffle inspired deliciousness.
Delicious.
It’s been a long time without reason to stop in Paengaroa. Stoked we have one again.
Can’t wait to try more French inspired awesomeness.
