Busy busy Sunday morning. Had creamy mushroom n salmon breakfast. Surprisingly no eggs 18$ . large flat white 5.8$. This is expensive I will definitely say. Also the lady wouldn’t change the garlic mushrooms with salmon instead of bacon as I don’t eat bacon. Not sure why she was so adamant on that. Taste was ok 3/5. Value for money 3/5. Didn’t try their cabinet stuff; the sweets looked nice but maybe for another time. Just another typical kiwi place.

Amazing how times have changed. Customer could request stuff and it was done. I wanted a hot plate as that is how i like my food. I like my bun or toast toasted not just heated through or not soaked in oil or water. The only thing hot on my plate was the tiny hash brown. The cup i had needed binning as it was all scratched inside. It is getting to the stage in Masterton where you have to travel to get a decent breakfast.

Food came pretty quick and the drinks were okay. It's a bit on the expensive side but tasty none the less.

Coffee was ok. I ordered the eggs Benedict with bacon on one occasion for $19. It was served on a single bun with cold (I suspect packaged) hollandaise sauce. I was really hungry but it was so bad I couldn't eat it.

Limited availability of items in the cabinet was a bit disappointing, (only one Salmon & Cream Cheese tart left), however what we did order was tasty. The tart was delicious, the Chicken Leek Pie was also good. The Savoury and Bacon Toasty was bordering on having too dry a base, but the accompanying beetroot chutney was a good relish. Coffees were good. we enjoyed some of the comments written on the blackboards (Yes, thank you, ,my coffee DID kick in before reality did!)
