★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the welder! Great place to visit for a quick coffee in the weekend. Only minor complaint is that their parking is all managed by Wilson's. It would be cool to see one more food place in here that serves breakfast with meat options (bacon!) as well ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This used to be my favorite place in Christchurch to grab breakfast and hang out for a few hours to do some work. It’s definitely gone downhill, very bummed. Barefoot eatery has removed many of my favorite items from their menu in the past year, and the the seating the common area of the Welder has been changed and the most comfortable options were taken away. Why?? I don’t enjoy the constant changes this spot seems to go through these days.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great collection of mainly food outlets with indoor and outdoor seating. Love the Grizzly Coffee and croissants, and bagels. Coffee and croissant special for $6 is a great deal. Recommended. Most food outlets are closed on Mondays. Grizzly is open. Sheltered outdoor seating at rear and cozy heated indoor area in winter. 30 mins free car parking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This urban oasis of healthy food and sustainable shops is in our ‘hood’ and where we spend most of our time when not at work. We’ll grab some coffee and a bite of bread from Grizzly, or pop to Bottle & Stone for some natural tap wine in the sun, Bar Yoku for a sushi taco or our neighbours’s gorgeous wee bar Salut Salut to try some amazing wines. Best sevice we had a meat and a cheese platter, it was delicious.
The rose wine was a nice drop.
Why not give it a go you wont be disappointed .
