★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped for dinner on the way North. We asked three ladies at the Dental centre where was a good place for dinner. The reply "The Wood Farmer". The place is easy to find on the main road and clearly popular. I ordered the fettuccini and my wife had the fish and chips. The fettuccini was packed full of flavour and fish and chips were light and crisp. It was good to see the owner taking the time go around the tables. Great food and friendly, attentive and professional staff. We will certainly stop again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went here for a family get together. The meals were good, and everyone enjoyed what they had, it was however really noisy and couldn't enjoy conversation as the group there were oblivious to other patrons. Not the restaurant's fault but they needed reminding

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The lentil burger was yummy but the bun was fragile and the burger too big and messy to eat without a knife and fork. It would be good if there was a veggie takeaway burger that was smaller and that you could eat with just your hands.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just finished my amazing scrambled eggs on thick grain bread with bacon. Delish! Will absolutely stop here again when we pass through.
Staff are happy, having fun and giving great service. The caramel slice has got to be the thickest I’ve ever seen!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped here for morning tea and it didn’t disappoint! The coffee was brilliant and nice and hot. The food was good as well. If you are in the neighbourhood I recommend stopping in here.

* Pork Belly sliders - Lovely combination of flavors, love that you get some crackle on the slider.
* Arancini balls - too much for one person lol Tasted nice.
* Pork Belly - Crackle was a bit hard, like the jus sauce. Quite filling.
* Lamb rack - Strong minty flavors, crumb is hard to eat with meat (falls off easily), liked the couscous at the bottom. Probably not for someone who's starving.
* Beef Burger - Far too big to eat but I've seen people try hahaha
* Ribs - taste good, as expected.
* Kūmara chips - Love! Crunchy as, I don't like soggy Kūmara chips.
* Fresh Lemon & ginger - Yum but just too much honey at the bottom so I kept adding water. Would also love a bigger pot.
