The theme of Gengy’s is originated from the founder of the Mongol Empire who had invaded and conquered most of Europe, Asia and Africa with his warriors.
After they had won a battle they had a huge victory feast in the shelter using their shields turn upside down over roaring camp fires and cook newly discovered meats and vegetables native to the conquered lands. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food selection, option of soups and even ice creams as dessert with various toppings. The people who cooks are fast to attend to me when I go over with my bowl of food. The drinks are pretty good too. I got a cocktail.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For our last week in Rotorua we selected the Gengy's Restaurant,we have no regrets cause the buffet was magnificent, excellent and we ate well,it was a family and friends time, the pancakes were excellent.. I recommend this restaurant and I give 5 Stars so much was good and the staff were very friendly, thanks again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful kai, lovely place but when we got here thus was our first time and nobody told us what to do, I had to go up and ask again the place was to loud to understand what staff were saying maybe having someone accomodate, greet and take new customers through the process would help a great deal. Picture of my yum noodles, teriyaki chicken veg and garlic oil + sweet & sour sauce over the top.
