★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everything was fine when a friendly lady booked a tour for us. Unfortunately the tour was cancelled the day after due to bad weather. We went back to get our refund. They kept 10% of the original price (+ $4 booking fee + 1% credit card fee). So we spent $70 for nothing. Thanks for not informing costumers about things like that before. Doesn't matter if there is a piece of paper with terms and conditions which you get with the booking confirmation. It's too late than.

Great range of Alps to Ocean Tee Shirts, Caps, wrist bands. Plus other souvenirs. Do your self a favour and have a ride on the penny farthing!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff here were lovely however I wasn't allowed to store my luggage here as I 'might be a terrorist'. Which meant I had to taxi to my hotel before check in time to drop off my luggage, taxi back into town, then taxi back to the hotel at check in time. A costly inconvenience. While the idea that Timaru would present an attractive target for terrorists is laughable, I had mistakenly thought this was an I-site (which let me store my luggage all over the country) and understand they have their own policies. I dare say this one is not attractive to travellers however and certainly puts me off returning.
