Tiny Triumph Recordings is a recording studio run by Wellington based Music Producer Toby Lloyd. He has been fortunate enough to work in some of the best recording studios in the country and work with the likes of Shapeshifter, Hollie Smith, Stan Walker, Rob Ruha, Nightmares on Wax, Ladi6, Warren Maxwell, Louis Baker, Dr Reknaw, Sea Mouse, Israel Starr, Jermaine Clements and MaraTK as well as working in the film industry as a Score Mixer on films like Savage, Nude Tuesdays and Cub as well as an ADR/Sound Recordist on films like The Hobbit Trilogy, Mortal Engines and Hunt For The Wilderpeople.
He has an intense love and affinity for working with all kinds of musical styles and this diverse appetite of music is a huge part of his sound. He tailors his approach differently on every single project to make sure that the artist gets the exact sound that they are after.
His main mantra is that he is there to help artists realise their dreams and to help make these dreams come alive out of their speakers. He lives and breathes music and he works tirelessly to help the artists music come to life!

Communication was such a breeze, Toby was patient and understanding considering delays and deadlines due to crazy covid circumstances. Honestly he went above and beyond, offering fresh ideas in terms of production and helpful advice regarding admin tasks I was unaware of. He even had pre-prepared instructional documents for mastering processes and distribution. Absolute legend, I will definitely be using Tiny Triumph again.

I always felt like our communication was on point. He clearly respected & believed in my craft. Having someone listen & contribute in a way which made me feel like we were equally invested in the album was 100% what I was after.
Toby has clearly mastered the craft of production as my songs were in the very basic stage when I brought them to him. By the end they are tracks that we are both really proud of. Not only is his producing on point but he can play a multitude of instruments to a high standard which in my case, as a still ‘soloish’ musician made the whole process much easier.
Toby is fun but also very professional in a working environment. I was amazed at his ability to structure our days working together in a way which allowed us to play & pull out the essence of my songs in fast but not rushed time.
When I struggled getting the right ‘feel’ of elements he was patient & honest, which meant we got something I am truly happy with in the end.
Mixing was a breeze as his first mixes were already pretty well there. Toby has gone above & beyond with every step of the production process, as well as giving generously his time & advice mentoring me through the creation of my first album; something I am so happy with & super proud of. I will endeavour to work with Toby again in the future, if he will have me :)
