There are seats and tables and grass so it's a good place to eat takeaways.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice area for the most part. Some type of fencing between the the park and the two roads, especially the very busy Great North Road, would mean that those of us with small children could relax a little instead making sure they don't wonder into traffic.
Nice to see the Xmas tree up close. Great photo opportunities though I'm not sure why whoever hires the lawn mowing contractor has hired someone that hasn't bothered to mow the lawn right up to the tree? The grass is 1/2 a foot long behind the rails. Nothing a walk behind lawn mower or weed eater could fix. Too hard to get the ride on that close to the tree?
Something I couldn't help noticing about the area in general is that for all the time, money and effort put into the development of the Todd Triangle and road etc, somehow the corner building (formally the BNZ bank) has been painted in colours that completely clash with the surroundings and then left abandoned?
What is the story here? It really is an eyesore. If this particular building was to recieve some decent architectural and spacial treatment, perhaps open a sustainable business, the Todd Triangle may begin to get close to it's proposed potential (ie the architect's impression that was posted during one of the many developments of the space.)
This area quite a few positives but way more potential.
