★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been to Jimmy for haircut for many years. Experience skilled hair dresser who always stay on top of latest styles and designs. Most importantly he listens to what you want to do with your hair and recommends the best which suits your face shape, hair quality etc. Price reflects quality of service and professionalism. Location is great. Easy to find free car parks within 2 mins walking. 5 stars

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ying is worth her weight in gold, she is an amazing colorist and knows exactly how to achieve what you want, including being able to fix up other hairdressers mistakes....or my own attempts at colouring my hair. I have spent a lot of money going to supposedly Auckland's best salons, and none of them beat Ying. She is fantastic! Top Hair is TOP!

She was happy to do my hair on the spot and I'm so glad that I popped in because I think I've found my stylist!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worse experience i never . The hair dresser didn’t listen to what i said and just cut 10cm of my hairs, i wanted to keep long!! My hair have no style at all now. He always argue with what i asked.
For me a hairdresser like this should not exist.
How he got the job? Interesting! Btw, never go back again.
Extremely rude and cuts are unstylish, value for money is terrible. Don't think they pay their taxes either - they try to get cash from you and will give you a discount if you do. Wouldn't recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been having my hair done by Jimmy for years, following him from one salon to another I cannot thank him enough, he has introduced me to new looks, techniques and styling. I always feel welcome at Top Hair and the results speak for themself. Amazing, lovely and friendly environment based in the heart of New Market. Jimmy always listens, and advises practical and professional advice, a highly qualified and exceptionally talented stylist - I would certainly recommend him!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited several different places to colour correct a previous salon in Newmarket, Auckland NZ, who had left me with the wrong tone. Finally I came across Top Hair Salon where Ying, the lady who worked on my hair, was clear and concise with what could be achieved and worked from 2-5pm bleaching and toning my hair. She was friendly, professional and most importantly, my hair reached the desired colour. For medium hair full head and roots bleach with toner it cost $280. I think this was definitely worth it and I would recommend you to see Ying again. I will definitely be returning. ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I cannot believe what happened this afternoon. I went to Top Hair Design NZ Ltd on 38 Remuera Road, Newmarket to get haircut. It was to cost $50, I expected a decent job for the price I was paying. The hairdresser assured me I would look better with short hair . I have long hair and I love it, but the hairdresser just kept telling me to bob my hair. Then I chose to trust him. But It was not the style I asked for, it was uneven, out of fashion and makes me looks so much order. Then I told him it looked bad but said it was the hairs' fault and took my money.
It had all gone wrong. When I said I was highly dissatisfied with the result and wanted it fixed, the salon manager tried to physically restrain me while hurling verbal abuse. I was so sacred and cried. Consumers beware. Do not go here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life! I straightened my hair at Top Hair a few weeks ago. They said 3 hours will be enough for the treatment, but I felt they rushed so much to finish. They were so rough on my head that I ended up with a massive headache the next day.
The man that was helping me was not able to speak English at all. I tried to express my pain twice while he was washing my hair and applying the products, but he was in such a rush that he just ignored me the whole time.
I do NOT recommend this place to anyone.
