β β β β β Avoid at all costs! Purchased a water pump from them, wouldnt work.Paid a plumber to try and install it only to find it was faulty. Returned the pump and heard nothing from them. 6 month later still trying to resolve the matter

β β β β β Customer service is a joke. Paula E is a waste of time if you ever get her donβt even bother. I asked her to refund the difference after the item had gone on sale and she refused. Then the item took over two weeks to get to auckland. She was not willing to help through their website chat. Very useless.

β β β β β Poor customer service. They advised that the sawbench I purchased was adequate. Nocover under c.g.act. snakes in the grass. Would never purchase anything from this company. Disgusted. And absolutely ? ripped off.

Took 10 working days to ship from one branch to the next after me asking 4 times where my order was being told it was coming from Auckland, then Hamilton then Timaru and that it was being prioritized. Was told I would get a phone call when it arrived in the Christchurch branch yet I did not, I had to chase it up to be advised that yes it arrived yesterday? So I went to pick it up today to be told that it was in the distribution centre (after they said they couldn't find it). Absolute worst experience I've ever received.

β β β β β Worst customer service in years. I say that as someone with 15+ years of hospitality experience. Where do we even start. We rung for hours today, nobody picked up, when we got there, there were 4 boys working, 2 behind the counter. You could see they were purposefully not picking up the phone. Nobody picked up the phone when we were there, despite only us and 1 other customer there at the store. When we asked about a product literally worth over $2000, the counter boy told us to pay now and collect at a warehouse ~6min drive. We asked the counter boy with glasses if he could please ring the staff at the warehouse to check all the parts are there because it's a product literally worth 2K, he didn't seem enthusiastic & seemed annoyed. Darryl at the Warehouse then got the barcode alphabet wrong over the phone multiples of times to which our counter boy found it hilarious. Also based on the language, the eyes, and the tone, it seemed mocking thorough customers over the phone is an internal joke between the counter boy and Darryl.
The counter boy then told us Darryl couldn't locate the item in the warehouse so we can pay today but not actually have the product. We thought this was strange as the Dunedin branch told us today that on the system, the Christchurch warehouse have 3 of these products. It comes to the fact the Counterboy and Darryl really couldn't be bothered to be helpful, 30minutes before the shop shuts while they are on minimum wage, reluctantly working on a weekend. There was another customer who came in with cash, the counter boy told the customer he won't take cash, to come back with Eftpos. It's orange light atm, all other shops take cash atm. The supervisor really should think about how to better train these lads in terms of actual helpfulness, some basic customer skills will go a long way to not literally turn people away.

β β β β β BUYER BEWARE. We purchased the Rugged ATV 16hp Finishing Mower 1.8M. Worth $4k. Got it home went to use and found it required a battery. We went back to Topmaq asking why this item comes incomplete. The gentleman we tried to resolve this matter with told us it never said it came with battery incl, and our point was we were never told it had no battery incl. We asked to return it because of it being incomplete, and got TOLD we couldn't return! The photo online shows a battery. There are no notes to say battery not included. Cost us another $300 for this mower to work. Do you buy a motorbike ir ride on that says electric start, without a battery? It was the attitude in the store that was more upsetting and we won't be back.

β β β β β We've brought a lot of stuff from here, some brilliant and great value for money, others are you get what you pay for. Personal favorites are the 22" Havik Chain Saw, infact it was so good we brought another, they're just brilliant (took out over 250 trees so far).
Recently we got the magnetic floor sweeper and used it to run through the burn piles, I was a little skeptical, but wow, it found stuff we couldn't see and also helped level out the ash, so good and highly recommended (especially for the price).
Staff are always very friendly too and sometimes helpful.
