About Torstone Automotive
Torstone Automotive’s owner-director Freddie van Vuuren is a qualified petrol and diesel technician with extensive experience gained both in New Zealand and abroad. His automotive career began in the South African Air Force where he trained, qualified and worked for nine years.
During his career he has worked for VW South Africa, Land Rover and Toyota.
Freddie and his family moved to New Zealand in 2016. During his time here he has worked for one of the North Shore’s leading European vehicle dealerships.
Apart from having a great passion for the trade, he enjoys boating, fishing and spending time with his family.

Freddie van Vuuren was watching for my car and met me as I parked, opening doors ushering me into a beautifully appointed waiting room and offered free coffee, wifi, adjustment to A/C if required. The music playing in the workshop was unobtrusive and pleasant. The headlight repair to my car was performed promptly and at a competitive rate. I highly recommend Torstone Automotive for impeccable service.

On top of it, Freddy accepted the challenge to not only service my car and replace my coolant reservoir, but also transform my headlights. Photos as proof of a remarkable turn around.
