★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The loop is a great way to get your exercise in. Good people watching. I go with my toddler - we park in the parking lot next to Ray white and end our walk with a big play in the new park which is fantastic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really well set up walk/bicycle way with great paths, plants, with lots of beautiful sculptures, places to stop and sit and enjoy the views of the river, Te Matau A Pohe Bridge and the marina. We started the bike path at Beach Road Onerahi, right into town and around the Hatea Loop and stopped and had a picnic on the grass at the marina. This is a fantastic asset for Whangarei. #loveithere #whangareipark #LetsGuide #childfriendly #wheelchairaccessible
