★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went straight up the road for 45 minutes but as I had no idea how far it was I came back down.The road is quite steep.It would be good to have a little information at the entrance stating the length and time to walk perhaps a small map.
Very popular on the weekends but needs to be dry.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great walk,or mountain bike ride up the hill to look over the Horowhenua area. It's about a five to seven km walk to the lookout points,either to the left when you get to the top of the hill,or right towards the cell phone tower.
Either walk up the road, or take the zigzag route to the top,it's called Kurt's track but it isn't actually signposted. If you want to go up that track, take a left at the bottom of the first gut busting hill, and follow the fence line of the horse paddock, which will take you on a gentle uphill walk through the forest. It's an uphill ride for mountain biking, so watch out for bikes if you are walking. There's also some mean downhill tracks for bikers only .
It's privately owned land, so please don't litter. Also, no toilet facilities. But well worth the walk to enjoy the lovely view out to the coastline.
