About Trinity Hill Wines
We also produce wines from varieties which are rarely, if at all, planted in New Zealand, such as Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier, Tempranillo, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Francesa. Our wines are made using traditional techniques, sometimes even including foot stomping, or pigeage.
Chief Winemaker Warren Gibson has led the Trinity Hill winemaking and vineyard teams since 1997 and is recognised as one of Hawke’s Bay’s, most experienced and successful winemakers. The vintages he has produced since arriving at Trinity Hill have earned him the accolades of New Zealand Winemaker of the Year (Winestate Magazine, 2005), and Winemaker of the Year (Mercedes Benz Hawke’s Bay Wine Show, 2006).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were there in a quiet period, and were really well looked after by the gentleman assisting with tastings. There were several varieties, many of which we had not tried before. We were after something representative of the region and winery, so left with a bottle of The Homage, to cellar for some time. Worth dropping in if driving and visiting other wineries along the way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We managed to arrive here just as the sun was hitting the architecture in such a beautiful way. The building is a key part of the experience, partnered with the friendly staff. The port-style red was my favourite wine of the day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experience at Trinity Hill was nothing short of amazing!!! My mum and I came for a wine tasting as a joint Mother's Day and Birthday celebration and we were utterly blown away.
Firstly, this winery is bloody gorgeous, amazing music and seating outside & giant jenga to play in the sun! It is also very peaceful and spacious.
Secondly, both the platters and the wine were delicious. All supplied with local ingredients and nibbles and the wines were all lovely (highly recommend a tasting tray).
And finally, the service was INCREDIBLE. We first had a lovely young blonde serve us and take our order - with amazing skills and knowledge about the wine. Then an older woman with dark hair served us and we were blown away. Her kindness, her chat and her all around interest in us was lovely. We had an incredible chat and felt like really valued humans. She also took off a glass of wine as a birthday gift!
An experience i'd do all over again in a heart beat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have never had a bad experience here! Consistently friendly and informative staff who are so happy to help with any questions and nothing is too much to ask from them. Great quality wine and delicious food which is really value for money. Great ambiance at their cellar door, they really do put quality wines on show and know what they are talking about, but patient for amateur tasters like myself. Looking forward to visiting again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I cam again for my birthday. This is a must stop for a wine tasting. I been a few times when in the area. Grab some friends/family and go enjoy a tasting. The staff are amazing. Hope you Trinty hills relise what an asset you have with your team. Thank you Mr Auhil for looking after us. We had done few tastings and just had very poor service from Mission estate. So very refreshing to receive wonderful service from a team that cares.
