Do I need a referral for my appointment at Tristram Clinic?
A referral from your GP is preferred for a new medical consultation. Please note that some insurance companies will not pay consultation fees without a Medical Specialist referral. A referral is not necessary for cosmetic consultations.
Do I need to inform my health insurance company before my appointment?
Many health insurance companies, and in particular ACC (Accident Compensation Corporation), may require the patient to have written approval before having a surgical procedure, and sometimes, before an initial consultation. The patient must obtain this written approval from their insurer and provide a copy to reception.
If you are unsure what your insurance covers, or if prior approval is required, please contact your health insurance company as soon as possible. As each health insurance company has its own specific requirements, you should ensure that you are familiar with what is required, otherwise you may have difficulty claiming back the cost of your procedure.

Ultra unprofessional and did not want to hear about current issue, history or what we had tried just wanted to listen to her own voice. Paid $305 for 10 mins consultation of.....what??

Quite cavalier in her approach.
Unfortunately, this approach left with a treatment injury with permanent damage to the skin on my face.
I was however incredibly grateful for the nurse stepping in who expedited my concerns.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was by word of mouth that I happened to hear about Dr Stuart McNicoll. I had been pondering for years about getting a Breast Reduction and I am so happy that I have finally done it. I can not speak highly enough of Dr Stuart McNicoll he has literally changed my life. I found him to be extremely professional but yet very calm to the extent that all my anxiousness was non existant leading up to surgery. Post Surgery was great, the nurses were absolutely amazing and I had very little pain. Communication was awesome I knew exactly what to expect and when I needed reassurance a few weeks after surgery I was seen immediately with no hesitation. I would 100% recommend Dr Stuart McNicoll and the Team at Tristram Clinic.

Dr McNicoll listened, and provided exactly what I wanted in balance with my lifestyle and natural body shape. The whole team at the Clinic were friendly and professional - right down to my favourite flowers in the recovery room. The nurses were personable and reduced any anxiety I had. Staff have been communicative and available during after-care and all my questions have been answered. If you are looking to get either of these procedures done - I highly recommend this clinic - I loved the discreet side entrance!
