★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was near awful. We ordered the pan seared fish, which tasted like play dough with some dried cracker on the side. The chicken wings were so dry the only saviour was the sauce (must’ve been store bought). The only saving grace was the roast vege salad, even then it would’ve been better to make yourself (at least then the lettuce would be fresh). Our friends steak was over cooked. The ribs were the second saving grace (I had serious food envy) despite swimming in fat and grease. Our food was delivered all at different times so our group didn’t actually eat together. So bloody expensive (even for Wanaka). Would not recommend at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really liked this place but there were minor things that could be improved and would probably help the venue.
First, the beers selection is great and they know that hazy is the current craft beer trend. They were out of two wines options though.
We visited on consecutive days, Thurs Jan 14th service was so-so and there were clearly a couple of people carrying the rest. It was considerably better the next day on Jan 15th.
Just a heads up to customers, the portions here are f**kin massive which explains the range of $30+ options. You don't need an entree or dessert. If your kids want a snack then a bowl of fries would feed 3 easily.

Cheesecake with rhubarb and berry sorbet was an absolute winner

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We thoroughly enjoyed the food and service for our fist visit here - being dinner. The local beer was great.
We had he starters of Pan Seared Scallops and NZ Fish Goujans and for the mains eye fillet and BBQ ribs but no room for dessert.
The view of the lake is beautiful
