★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From the moment you walk in Gail, manager, head stylist and owner of this little piece of provincial France greets you with a unique balance of professionalism and affection. Individual needs are assessed and treatments provided with bespoke care and attention. Turret House is the ONLY place to receive a massage experience in the Waiarapa and no trip to Martinborough is complete without it. The salon, in particular the wet massage room, is so warm and cosy year round you simply do not want to leave. I can’t recommend Gail and her staff enough, whether for a quick wax or blow dry or a full day spa experience this is a treat for you or the person you treasure. J Martin – Melbourne Lawyer

Gail you are amazing, we had such a great day today, you really did make us feel special, the whole atmosphere and your massage experience was the best we have had. Going to Gail is always a fun and pampering experience.
Her hair and make-up expertise is legendary. She worked on Lord of the Rings with accompanying stars for years.
I’d recommend her to anyone.

We get the couples packgage for an afternoon of sitting in a bath with a drink, a scrub, and a massage. It is such a lovely and relaxing afternoon and Gail goes above and beyond to make it so and customise it for guests. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gail provides a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. She has a deeper understanding of the human body and mind above just mere massaging. After a superb massage, time to lie and relax and a shower she provides you with a cup of tea and sits and talks to you offering tips for relieving stress, anxiety, aching muscles amongst other things. Most definitely the best massage experience I have ever had!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gail is an exceptional makeup artist and hairdresser. I asked her to do my hair and makeup for my wedding and I was ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED with her work! I can’t recommend her highly enough. I wish she could make me feel like a million dollars every day.
We did a trial a few months before the wedding so that I knew what to expect and so I could explain what I was looking for, but Gail already knew how best to highlight my features and make me look fabulous. She works quickly so even though we had booked two hours for my hair and makeup, she could have done it much quicker.
Gail has all the latest products, and then some. She advised me what to get myself, such as which eyelashes and lipstick, and she advised me to get shades and brands that I wouldn’t normally buy - she knew how to make me look like a beautiful bride. I trusted her and her judgement because I could tell that she had made many brides beautiful.
I was delighted with the results. I know that all wedding guests tell the bride she looks lovely, but I genuinely felt that my guests were surprised at how good I looked! And yet, I still looked like me. Great work Gail and thank you so, so much!
