★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Massey University Cafe in Mt Cook, Wellington. Opens 8.03am weekdays, has good coffee and breakfasts for very reasonable prices. Bacon and eggs were cooked well, yolk runny. Toast was white, but lots of it, 2 big slices of bacon. Coffee was good, Cappa and flats white ok. Staff friendly and helpful. Can watch music videos while eating at tables or benches n bar stools. Good range of other food, muffins, cakes, sandwiches etc, prices reasonable. The uni can be a little hard to navigate, but Tussock is worth it, near the library under building 5.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tussock is the cafe-bistro on the Wellington campus of Massey university. The selection of food is good, the prices are a tad high but so is the quality of food. The staff there are approachable, helpful and friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not a bad place to eat, most things are tasty but some of the prices are a bit high considering the main customer base is students and there's not really anywhere else to get food in the area. Staff are usually friendly.
Food like pies are reheated in the microwave though, so they end up pretty soggy when you eat them, and sometimes slices with nuts aren't labelled very well in the cabinet. Also the regular coffee size is really small.
Would not recommend ordering the fries and samosas/spring rolls, it's mostly fries and a couple of samosas from the frozen section at the supermarket.
