Inside a brick-clad building located on Upper Cuba Street, just off Karo Drive, you’ll find us.
Martha’s has been serving up high tea in Wellington since 2007.
Here you’ll also find a very cute and cosy café offering a great variety of home-baked savouries and sweets and all day menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such lovely people giving those that visit a glimpse of sunshine even if the weather was foul, like it was on our visit. Scones, bacon & egg muffins, coffees and amazing high-teas all served with free sunshine ☀️?☀️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff were nice but iced teas ended up in the rubbish after one sip. Unfortunately a disappointment, we went for iced tea today, assuming a tea house would make their own delicious iced tea. What we received was colourful syrup in water....absolutely unexpected and really not enjoyable. Expensive too for what it was.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time here, had a thoroughly delightful & enjoyable afternoon High Tea here with our group of 5. Delicious food and a huge selection of teas and garden hats to try on for photos! Friendly staff & cosy ambience. Definitely recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can't stop thinking about the layer cake! So I'm disappointed to find that they are closed on Mondaysl. I'll have to come back next week.
The decaf cappuccino was excellent - Peoples brand, I think - but the layer cake was amazing with a lot of subtle flavours and smooth textures. The fruit top layer was best.
We dropped in on a whim only 15 minutes after lunch. A group high tea had just finished and we got to see the sparse remains of their spread. It looked good.
We were by ourselves and not even disturbed by the busy traffic just outside the door on SH1.
Staff were friendly and efficient.

They make some of the most delicious bagels I've ever had, and their iced coffees are the perfect remedy for a hot summer's morning.
Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very beautiful presentation of High Tea. Fresh bakes scones, pastries, savory sandwiches, all were delicious. The decor of the cafe is very nice and inviting. Antique tea cups with small dessert spoons were very cute to be served.
I think this place is popular. Might be! I have made a reservation to have a High Tea ceremony and while we were there all tables were reserved. I definitely recommend this place to anyone! Its a great spot for birthday celebration, night out, weekend brunch, friends meet-up, you name it.
Service was outstanding! Lots of tea to choose from! Impressed !
