★ ★ ★ ★ ★ LOVE this place. If you've got curly hair and are considering giving the team a try my advice would be to hurry up and make an appointment because you won't regret it. Carla and the team at Urban Kurl are so friendly and experienced with a wide range of curly hair types. It still blows my mind how they will cut each individual curl a teeny amount and completely reshape your hair by removing seeimingly so little hair. I would follow these ladies anywhere.
Side note, if you're a fan of 90s hip hop and RnB look no further. Solid vibes every time I show up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always value my curl sessions at Urban Kurl Studio. Wash & rehydration (revival!) with Clever Curl products, awesome dry cut with each curl individually snipped (I appreciate this attention). Their curl insights and advice for my hair care are incredibly helpful. Gone are the days where the hair stylist would fluff my hair, tell me it was too thick and they were limited as to what could be done (and I'd be guided to straightening).. My son's don't have curly hair and their cuts are awesome too. Amazing service, expertise and knowledge at UKS. Highly recommended.

My hair needed a lil pick me up, and the girls at Urban Kurl did not disappoint. ? Absolutely loved the service, Josephina talked me through every step and I'm loving the end result. 10/10 Recommend

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went here and my curly hair was in dire need of shaping, trimming and hydrating. Oh my goodness! The results had me shocked, I had never seen my hair in such great condition ever. It was the best my hair has ever looked. The staff knew what I needed and are the most kindest people ever and I felt so comfortable in that environment. They understand curly hair very well and I highly recommend this to anyone with curly or wavy hair or even straight.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Carla at Urban Kurl Studio is no doubt the best hairdresser to have touched my hair! I trust this lady because she’s proven to be knowledgeable, experienced and fantastic as a senior stylist & salon owner, having me always trusting my experience there, and meeting my expectations too!
Her hairstyling crew are amazing, particularly Dora when assisting to prep me before/after my sessions.
The team, both at Avondale salon and Royal Oak salon are equally good as I go to both locations just to get that professional, friendly and attentive hair and make up service.
This is the hair care specialist team worth going to because of the talent, care, experience and professionalism they show! I’ve told family and friends this so they go too, as there are so many other services they do as well. My kids, nieces/neff, siblings mother and family/friends and everyone all have been.
Always leaving the salon happy, on a good vibe with the ambience, and great outcome! ☝️? ?
