We have just used Urban Spice for our company curry lunch that required 110 orders over two days. Urban Spice were quick to communicate, set up an efficient and adaptable ordering system and had everything completed with about one-weeks notice. Delivery was perfectly on time on both days, the food arrived hot like it was fresh out of the kitchen, all packaged with labels for each staff member making the distribution of food super easy for us! Last, but not least, the food was amazing - we only received compliments from all staff on the portions, spice level, and taste of course!
Thank you to the Urban Spice team for making our company curry lunch so successful!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was having trouble ordering online so called in. Spoke to a woman on the phone and placed order. 2 different curries and 1 naan. She repeated both back and confirmed if I wanted mild or medium. I then asked how much. She seemed to not understand so I repeated. She then hung up on me. Called back and got the same woman. Asked the same question and she said I would need to call back and hung up. Again. I tried calling again several times but no answer.
Went in to collect order. I think same woman but not 100% sure. Spoke about the confusion on the phone. She pulled up my order and read it out to me. The order was incorrect so I reiterated what I had asked for. She offered for me to wait while they made the correct order. As we were talking a customer came up from one of the tables. The woman at the counter cut me off mid sentence and started talking to the other customer. I waited politely until she finished, told her she was extremely rude and to keep her incorrect order and that I would go elsewhere.
I have never had such incompetant and disrespectful service. EVER. Save your $$ and go to Foreshore in Maraetai.
I went back and received the owners kind offer. The curries were deliscious but again the original woman who served me was rude (different to the first one). The owner them came out for a chat and he was lovely. I have lifted the rating slightly because the quality of the food but customer service is lacking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Edit : i had originally rated the experience poor as i was not satisfied with the food but the owners offered to replace the entire meal and the food was delicious. Things go wrong but their service more than made up for it. Will happily go back again.

We’re lucky to have such a great Indian restaurant locally! I’m not a huge fan of butter chicken but I’ve tried my husband’s from here and it was great, full of flavour and not sickly creamy. I usually go for lamb rogan josh, and their version doesn’t disappoint.
We also tried the banquet option once while dining in and that was a great way to taste their different curries, it was good value for money and a delicious meal. I also recommend their onion bhaji entree to go along with your meal, it’s very moreish.
I’ve had the chicken biryani from here too and I found it a bit plain for my liking, stick with the curries and you can’t go wrong.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Politely served $14.80 Combination meat fried rice but a bit pricey six bit of meat and rather bland on vegetables too, less than a tablespoon and no Saucers to add flavour. They would have to lift their game as there was no value for me to buy there again.
