β β β β β A nice bar in Howick that serves tapas style food to share. The tapas menus are located on the wall but they do have a standard menu with drinks and bar snacks. We grabbed a few things to share. Of the lot that we tried, I quite liked the scallops with the sweet potato puree. The other items like the smoked ribs and the chicken tulips were also nice.
I have a fairly big appetite so I thought that the portions were small, but that is expected for tapas. It would be a nice place for snacks but probably not for a full meal as it could get quite pricey.

β β β β β 10/10 pulled pork fries been in for the last 4 days and canβt get enough. Canβt recommend them enough. The service was great too, the staff at the bar were very friendly and helpful, definitely the best bar in howick with the best vibes

β β β β β Love this place for it's delicious food, and friendly, attentive service.
Hard to go past the bao buns, but make sure you read the specials board. Interesting dishes with tasty flavours that are great for to have for your own meal or to share with friends.

β β β β β We asked the team to do a platter for an office event and they really exceeded our exectations. The food was excellent, they helped with delivery and it was good value. The guacamole was the stand out that the team were talking about the next day. Thank you The Corner Bar!

β β β β β Tyler was our waitress and has shown an excellent knowledge of the drinks and food. She also was very welcoming and efficient in her role.
The atmosphere of the bar is fantastic. Big thumbs up from me for a local watering hole.

β β β β β Was pleasantly surprised at the food on offer here. Unfortunately we had a large group of gluten free people with us and they were unable to offer gluten free fries. Pork belly, hawker roll, buttermilk chicken and beef short rib were all a hit. Not a cheap night out but for those of us who could eat gluten we enjoyed the variety. Miniature dessert platter was a bit of a disappointment. Looked better than it tasted.
