About Vintage European
My husband and 3 year old daughter moved from our family farm in the Cairngorms in Scotland, to New Zealand in 2006 to farm here in the Wairarapa. Since then, we added another 2 daughters to the family and we have loved bringing them up as Kiwi kids in the stunning New Zealand countryside.
Originally a Landscape Architect, I decided I wanted to combine my love of gardening, design and antiques with a love of travel, so once my youngest daughter was old enough to go to preschool, I set up Vintage European from our home on the farm.
Since 2013, I have been travelling back to Europe to select beautiful and practical vintage pieces for your home from antiques fairs and suppliers across the UK and mainland Europe. Vintage European now imports several containers a year full of simple, rustic and fascinating vintage furniture and collectables, each one with it's own story. We compliment the vintage collections with unique new products from carefully curated European stockists to offer you a full range of homewares and garden items which you won't find anywhere else in New Zealand.
Opening Hours at our showroom at 246 Tiffin Road, Carterton RD2, Wairarapa
Monday, Thursday and Friday open 10am to 3pm
All other times visitors are welcome by appointment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I found the service by Sarah at Vintage European top notch. I received some lovely samples in the post (twice) so I could check the colours of the cloths I was interested in. A particular pattern that I wanted wasn't available so Sarah put me on a waiting list to let me know when it arrives in stock. In the meantime I bought a lovely tablecloth, see photo. Care instructions came with it, and it arrived by courier, neatly packaged, within just a few days after placing my order. The table cloth is not traditional 'oil cloth' which is what I was looking for originally, but rather is high quality cotton fabric that has been treated with a vinyl coating, which makes it water resistant and wipeable. This is fabulous as we have 2 small children and lots of mess. Next time I will buy a matt cloth so I have an alternative to my lovely gloss one. Highly recommended business!
