About Viva México
For old timeʼs sake, you can order the same enchiladas suizas you’d get at your Mexican grandma’s, swimming in melted cheese. Along with choices for main meals, at Viva Mexico there are so many different types of Latin American cocktails to try with your meal. Our staff are always happy to give their recommendations and share their memories from back home.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice staff, prompt service, great ambiance ... but although the food looks exciting, it lacks flavour. The desserts are super yum!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my third Mexican restaurant visit in recent months. The food didn't seem fresh, particularly the enchiladas dish. The black bean paste had a crust on it that can be seen in the photo, presumably from sitting in a warmer for some hours, and the rice also had a crust that had to be ‘cracked’ to get into. Walking by the kitchen to our table I saw the kitchen staff banging upside-down rice moulds on the plates to release it. The only thing on the plate that felt fresh was the salad.
This would also explain why the dishes arrived so quickly.
The Flautas are apparently filled with marinated chicken, chipotle and cheese, but what the photo doesn’t show is that they are so incredibly thin it’s impossible to discern anything beyond a white product inside them, and they too were sat atop a dried-out mound of black bean.
The Queso Fundido wasn’t much fun either. The chunks of unmelted cheese in the bottom didn’t add to the dish and it lacked flavour.
Why pre-heat and dry out the black bean and rice? Why rush the Queso to the point the cheese isn’t melted, and therefore not 'molten'? If this food is, as they say on their website, ‘the real deal’, then I’ll settle for the ‘fake’ Mex I've had elsewhere lately and enjoy it more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great tasting food, very mild levels of spice. Had a range of different styles as well, variety is always appreciated. I ordered the ground beef but it looked and tasted like pulled pork. No issue here, I enjoy both but it might be for others.
Not specifically a restaurant issue but after trying several times on two different nights I couldn't get a car park anywhere near and had to go back to my motel and order via Uber Eats.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Margaritas were delicious as was the food and the desserts … just yummy … we had tres leche & pie de limón (the small size was more than enough for one I had to take half home). Staff are friendly, service was very fast I think we were in and out within and hour!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best Mexican restaurant in Wellington area.
Food Fresh and tasty and great service.
I didn't manage to take photos of the flautas (really a pleasure, that mixture of flavors and textures are a delight to the palate)
This place never stops surprising me, the drinks were delicious.
I attach photos of the tacos de nopal (they are vegetarian) and the taste of the nopal is fresh and intense, pisco sour and 3 leches.
