★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed here for one night. Location is great being near the beach. Pool and play facilities for the kids good. But showers are small and everywhere needs a key card. Just makes it all feel less 'free'. The major downer was that the site was super packed. The sites are small and everyone there had packed the kitchen sink. Just felt too crowded.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well set up with lots of ablutions. Great location, if you don't mind a few bangs from the port and the sound of waves. Right on the beach, right by town. Would've rated it a 5 except the customer service could've been a bit brighter (sorry I pride myself on excellent customer service). Stayed in our motorhome at a powered site so no comment on the units.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a wonderful place to stay. Amazing clean facilities even the shared kitchens were equipped with tea towels, dish cloths and dish liquid!! Comfortable cabins with everything needed to make a cuppa. Great things to do on site and its right next to Waikanae Beach. Highly recommend this holiday park as a must stay if visiting Gisborne. Thank you. We loved our stay!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great spot with great facilities. Right across the road from the beach and close to the CBD. Only downsides were there are no non-powered sites for a a slightly cheaper stay (as someone traveling on a very low budget) and the one ply toilet paper ?. Overall definitely worth considering!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed here and loved it. It's a 3min walk to the beach, captain Morgans, tennis courts, playground, gymn. And there is a fantastic walkway from Waikanae beach to Midway beach and to the Olympic pools and Adventure playground, also there are a few free BBQ cookers and picnic areas off the midway beach walkway.

A perfect location for what we wanted - we wanted to be by the beach and to the town to go for dinner and drinks in the evening.
The grass area for parking was quite muddy after all the rain which is to be expected.
This was my second time here. My first time was 2nd Jan 2021 and stayed in a unit. The unit hadn't been cleaned from the previous occupants but they sorted it out pretty quickly so was satisfied.
I would say this park can be slightly noisy as lots of families and people attending festivals etc - there is a noise curfew of 10pm. But just to warn you if you want something quieter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Campground is very good and clean! Staffs are friendly. Facilities well maintained. Heaps of activities within the campground. Perfect location. Close to the road so it could get noisy but still good considering everything all together. Definitely recommended.
