Coming to Varda was the best choice I made when I left High School. I’ve learnt professionalism in the Barber trade and I’ve taken it and used it as a life skill. Varda has taught me all the basics of barber skills and the tutors were supportive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The girl who did my hair did a great job and I loved it, but then the teacher came along. At first when he was shaving my hair it looked fine but then he started to shave the whole thing off and now I’m stuck with an ugly haircut. Plus he was really rough and made me feel uncomfortable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After booking on the phone well in advance, and being clear on the phone when I booked that I have long hair, I turned up for my appointment only to be told they "don't do foils" for hair as long as mine. Apparently it's too hard for their students and takes too long. This is weird, because I had 3/4 foils done for 8 years at the Palmerston North training salon and those students always did a great job and finished within two hours. I only wanted a half head but was left with the distinct impression that they're not training their students to manage long hair because of the inconvenience. I hate to think what quality of students they're graduating if a 1/2 head of foils on long hair is beyond their abilities. Very disappointing, and you should be clear on the website if you have these strange limitations on what kind of hair you're willing to work on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been here twice. Because I now have short hair, and I want to keep it short. I have walked out here, happy. The tutor there was friendly, as were the students. The tutor guilded my hair stylist, really well. As stylist was a little unsure, but she (tutor ) encouraged stylist by showing her how to cut short hair. Love my hair cut... I have pre booked again. Nice price too $15.00 ???

They provide excellent quality of products which I ended up buying to use at home.
I am looking forward to going back for future hair treatments.
