A very popular boat ramp. Has a set of toilets . But NO RUBBISH Bins due to much freedom dumping of fish. If you bring your rubbish in, take home with you, or to other bins along the coast road.

Good place to launch the boat to go fishing in the mussel farms for a feed of Snapper.

Easy boat launching whatever the weather. Plenty of parking and toilets for a nervous one before launching. Negatives are how busy it gets so expect a wait on weekends and at peak times. Also less confident users can slow the flow by not lining up or understanding ramp etiquette.

Best ramp close to farms. 200 plus boat there Friday the 15th january. 6am on morning and we were 15 in line to launch. It stayed like that nearly all day. 4 guys fishing for 7 hours for 22 nice snapper.

Mussel Farm boat ramp Waikawau, excellent place for fishing. Great Day out for the family, awesome memories with our Late Dad Jimmy Ogle & father In-Law. Wanted to post these pictures to keep safe for future reference. The Love of going fishing ?.

Great fishing. Just be extra careful 2 hours either side or low tide in any boat. Did some major damage to my prop 90mins before low in my FC535. Admittedly there was some swell which made for less than prefect conditions that sometimes can be found here. Hopefully the money we all pay to keep the entrance in a safe condition is being used to do so. I take responsibility for my incident but I won’t be using the ramp within two hours of low in future.
