β β β β β Lake Aviemore is a gem, and itβs surrounded by beautiful weeping willows that hold the banks together. We camped right underneath one, on the banks of the lake, and we saw far more ducks than people. There were many caravans pitched, but nearly all unoccupied, and there was still plenty of room. Only 4 stars because very basic facilities - just toilets and water you need to boil, but itβs worth it for the location.
