β β β β β We were warmly welcomed on a Saturday to this lovely estate, with a stunning view of the coast and beautiful decor.
The host was extremely engaging, friendly, and knowledgable, and delivered an enjoyable experience. Delicious wines from their estate vines and also a very environmentally aware and wildlife friendly location.
Would most definitely recommend the trip out.

Eric was so friendly and made us feel really welcome from the get go - his love of life, travel stories, and knowledge of wine turned everything into an amazing experience! The wines and port were absolutely delicious - we would 100% recommend making a stop here, you won't regret it!! Thanks again Eric for making our day, and for the special treat you gave us for my birthday, it went down swimmingly well with our dinner! βΊοΈ We'll be back!

β β β β β Lovely family run vineyard with beautiful views of 90 mile Beach and delicious wine. Eric is super friendly, he shared a few drinks and funny stories with us. The syrah is particularly tasty and we loved the tawny port, all reasonably priced. A hidden gem, it was the perfect way to kick off 2021. Thank you Eric and the family for one of the best vineyard visits ever!

β β β β β Fantastic wine tasting experience. Lovely wine (particularly enjoyed all the reds). Great scenery, with a bit of an explanation of the views, and really welcoming and engaging hosts. Recommend dropping in.

β β β β β Randomly saw signs for a winery and decided to visit and man am I glad we did. We got a tour of the estate while another group tasted which was an excellent moment to enjoy the view. Then we had our tasting which was full of meaningful conversation and which was pressure free (no pressure to buy wine or to hurry up). Ended up really enjoying ALL the wines, especially due to Eric's anecdotes on how each was made. Eric and Sandra went above and beyond ?And the wine was supberb?

β β β β β Waitapu Estate is a beautiful and very special place. Wine is the star of the show but just one delicious part of the story. Fabulous independent family-run vineyard. Great wine tasting that felt felt like going to visit an old friend. We will return! Eric is an incredible host and raconteur, so glad we called in.
