★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovley little spot, friendly locals. Nice place to gather some paua. If the tides in a quick dip does the trick first thing in the morning. need some decent footware to walk on the rocks

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lovely place with a mixture of black sand and rocks on the beach. The rocks always make for good fun throwing them into the water. The black sand (presumably volcanic) is as black as you could ever see, such a contrast. Clearly good for fishing as so many people parked up enjoying that as an afternoon entertainment. Also some surfers out so good for catching some waves if you fancy it!
