β β β β β Would not recommend this course. The views are fantastic but the overall course condition is not great. You will find there are a lot of very patchy areas around the green, where you could get a terrible lie from just missing the green slightly. Also the greens are very inconsistent, the fact they are hard doesn't bother me but the inconsistency does. I would recommend playing Cromwell or Arrowtown Golf course instead, much better golf courses.

β β β β β The green fees I felt quite expensive compared to other courses we have played while traveling in the South Island. The course outlook is picturesque, however physically demanding for older players without an electric cart. I find it disappointing that golf associations are trying to promote golf nationwide and a few clubs including Wanaka Golf Club are charging high fees which contradicts the growth of this sport at an affordable level.
