β β β β β .Install 2016 was a slow process with little communication. The rack system was not great and asked for installer to come back to reset it.
Occasionally, the whole gate would run off the track and more recently ALL the blasted time. Called the Hamilton office and as in the past,
they never answer the phone. I leave messages which are NEVER returned. In the end, I had to do the repair.
Update: 08/2017 One of the top rails had fallen off at one end! Concrete breaking up and pulled away from the pillar.
What next, one asks himself!!
Update: 09/2017. Manager (Mr D Green) has called and was very apologetic. At the time he requested that I take down my negative review as he felt I was very unfair!. Viewed the problems and is making arrangements to rectify the problems.
Update 10/2017. What a waste of time. All Mr Green was interested in was for me to take down this negative review (yet another request from him by email). He was not willing to accept any responsibility at all. All I was offered was a repair to be done at MY expense! I requested that he seriously reconsider, but as expected, no response. Mr Green was in total denial that the ground had sunk where a hole was created to install a pillar. His initial response was that an earthquake was the likely cause to cause movement. Later after an inspection by the contractor who did the work was---reason "unknown"!! As the ground is sinking where the pillar was installed, the pillar is moving, therefore the automatic gate settings senses an obstacle and the gate will not remain closed. This is clearly an installation issue and shoddy workmanship.
Appalling company to deal with. Stay well clear of these cowboys. Neighbour got another company called Fences and Gates who performed a sterling job on their property AND their quote was more than $2,000,00 cheaper than warners ! To date, my neighbour has had no issues at all unlike myself!

β β β β β Very disappointed with Warner Fences Hamilton. We had an automatic gate installed late last year through Warner Fences Hamilton and for months we had problems with the gate beams being active which means the gate wont close. I had rung David from Warner Fencing several times explaining that the gate would randomly not close. Initially i thought it might be something we were doing. David did send several people out to look at it and each time they said they didn't know what was wrong with it. But the problem wouldn't go away. Weeks went by and I rung David again, this time very frustrated and said that either the gate is fixed or please take it away as we don't want or need a gate which only works 1/2 the time. He said he would ring me back in 10 minutes and i am still yet to hear back. Luckily I had another tradesperson here working on the property who knew David and he said he would ring him for me. David told the person that he had ordered new beams (finally) and they would be installed the next day, unbeknownst to me. David also said that the problem might have been because we knocked the gate off its run. David had never mentioned this to me and if he had, i would have told him that the beam issue had been happening weeks before the gate was knocked off its run.
Once the beams were replaced the gate has worked properly, although it is tainted with my bad experience with Warner Fences Hamilton.
My husband and I are in retail, and know what its like fielding unhappy customers but communication is so important. David told someone that i was being unreasonable but all i wanted was the gate to work, we paid a lot of money for this gate and its not too much to ask. I still haven't heard from David since he said he would ring me back in "10 min" and I would have thought a phone call to check up and see if the problem had been fixed would have been nice.
I would not recommend using Warner Fences Hamilton and when we move on in the future we will be ringing a different Fence company to install our gate!
