One dryer ate two $2 coins, but owner refunded me no questions asked.

Tiny macines and to use big machines you have to pay drycleaner price i payed $64 to wash 4 mink blankets!!!

Went to ask owner if hours will be extended over winter as the hours they are open are quite narrow no night time or weekend opening times. Owner was very rude and said no I have other places to be and had such a nasty, tone

Great little laundromat. Coin operated machines or drop your stuff off for them to take care of for you.

My review is accurately articulated, fairly and truthfully by my account.. I used their self service washing machines, they cost $4 per wash/machine(cheaper elsewhere), very small machines for the amount of clothes to fit, regardless of the maximum weight of 7.9kg being larger than most, which was stated in reponse to another review. Machine was filled to appropriate capacity, female owner was livid about it(seems to me she checks your washing if you are away), I was advised by her very rudely to take half out and pay an additional $4 in another machine, I opted not to as no funds and didn't wish to pay an extra $4 for a small amount of clothes, they were taken out still dripping wet ofcourse. Female owner went on a rant about how expensive the machines are etc regarding the water level etc(personal issues were also brought to my attention by her where an argument took place with her husband about the situation, which seemed to me like he could have cared less about it lol) I told her to not be rude and followed her instructions regardless, she questioned why I crossed the road with my friend(as she had seen me and my friend walk in and walk out) and I explained my car was across the road, seemed like she was acusing us for doing something criminal and running away, we had nothing to hide, nothing wrong was committed, came across as marginalizing and racist. The machine seemed very much capable of handling the items I used at the beginning, it came across as stingey (If a customer has more washing, she would want you to distribute your items in multiple machines which lack in size then offer costly services as it's extra for blankets, which means more money for the business, in another words, she's a cheapskate) but I understand a business is to be upkept and running. The rest of the items finished it's run with no issues. Two light weight blankets were used(a throw and microfleeced double bed sized blanket, which is a very light weight material) came back to the laundromat to find my blankets missing, found a note left on the machine before opening the machine to my dismay, where it stated no blankets are to be used as per the board and for me to go to the counter. My blankets were physically taken out with no authorization or my approval, my private belongings had been invaded/privacy violated, who's to say my under garments weren't peaked at too. I went to the counter next door, didnt see anyone yet saw my blankets laid out on top of baskets in a bunch behind the counter, not folded. So without hesitation, I took them and immediately left. Very foul/poor/rotten and disgusting service from the female owner, the worst service I have EVER experienced in Hamilton! I was screamed at from across the road by what sounded like a banshee, and advised to not return, you wouldnt have to tell me twice, I would happily never return. I replied with an explitive to myself regarding her, not directly to her but hoped she did hear it, and she replied "harty-haha" childish and pathetic, not once was I ever disrespectful or rude to her in the situation! My first and last time I will step foot there, a waste of my $4 and laundry detergent/powder. The building may be your property, and so are the machines, but you created a business opened up to the community/public and you should have known better, to understand customer service, unideal circumstances may arise and there must be a set of boundaries and trust put at place for customer satisfaction, and you broke that, you have no right to touch your customers belongings, without good faith. You should have dealt with the situation professionally, respectfully and appropriately, which you failed to do so at all levels, if verbally abusing your customers are your standards, I wouldn't be surprised if business is at a decline. I would love to see what she has to say for herself or her husband (who not once said a word, directly to me anyway) since responses are expected to reviews.

Wash'n'Dry is a family business that has been operating on Rostrevor Street for decades and has provided an excellent and friendly service the entire time. This business has recently changed hands. I'll update this review once I have more information.
