β β β β β A good price, but the service was poor.
We ordered the skip for three days. They delivered it at around 5pm on the first day. We almost finished filling it on the second day. We only had a couple of hours work left, so I called them on day two to make sure they didn't pick it up first thing in the morning. They said they couldn't guarantee the time they would pick it up but that they would do it in the afternoon. That was fine as I only needed an hour or two in the morning.
When I went outside next morning at 9am the bin was gone!!!!! This was despite me specifically calling to make sure it didn't happen and the assurances I was given.
What was worse was when I called to explain and ask for my bin back, I just got a NO and referred to their policy that they can't guarantee a pick up time. I didn't need them to guarantee a pick up time, I just needed to pick the bin up in the afternoon like they said they would!
Poor service Waste Management.

β β β β β DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They fail at the most basic jobs which is emptying out your rubbish bin. We were BRAND NEW CUSTOMERS and they took our money and NEVER provided service even ONCE. On 4 different occasions they said within 1 week of having our bin, we were constantly LIED too!!! Even by their own supervisor. They should be reported to the consumer rights tribunal!!

β β β β β Unbelievably shocking service. Paying for a fortnightly collection since March and have counted more times that the bin hasn't been emptied than has. Support is just as unhelpful as the drivers themselves.
Only good thing I can say is that we're past the 24 week and can cancel without paying the early cancellation fee.
Appalling, disappointing and not at all worth the headache.

β β β β β Unbelievably bad. All their customer service staff appear to be working from Auckland and are very unprofessional. Poor english language spoken. Did not solve the problem - weeks of phone calls and emails. Extremely frustrating. AVOID this company. One star is too much.

β β β β β Well since you asked google..theyre noisy, they smell and the allow rubbish to flow freely with the wind from their yard, they also do dpf filter cycles in their trucks all night and allow the smoke to blow through neighbouring properties, all and all pretty bloody terrible for a company that touts itself as clean and green

β β β β β Terrible management. Allowing stores to not do their recycling. Only had waste and cardboards session, without recycling bins. Checked with the stores staff and they had to dumb all kinds of rubbish into waste. I thought we care for the environment in this country, how can a company get away with it? If you run a company, you should know better what you gotta do!

β β β β β Signed up 3 months ago. They only managed one or two pick-ups in that time (should have been at least 6). This is despite calling twice and being promised they'd sort it out both times. I left the bin out for so long at one point (a month or so) that it killed a patch of grass, so it's certainly not a case of the bin not being put out on the correct day. I've given up on Waste Management and will take my business elsewhere. Terrible service.

β β β β β Pretty hopeless. Waste Management hold the contract for the residential bin collection for the Christchurch City Council. If they half empty the bin or miss picking it up they can take over a week to come back to empty it. They can blame covid all they want but thereβs no excuse for not following up on a ticket for a half empty for a week.
