β β β β β I stayed here 2 nights whilst being on a cycle touring trip. Hosts were SUPER helpful and caring for me to be as comfortable as possible and made sure I could safely store my bike overnight. Early days of Spring are still quite cold so I was even given extra blankets and hot water bottle for my stay. The lodge is very clean, well maintained, peaceful, lovely garden and balcony for those lazy morning or afternoon and covers all the bases travellers need. I would definitely come back if Im in the area! Thank you Watsons Way! :)

β β β β β The owner of this hostel is a really nice guy. He was extremely helpful and always willing to go the extra mile for his guest. He dropped us off to a vineyard as we didn't have much time to take the bikes there and then also picked us up once we finished. Location was key, room was great and kitchen was also clean.

β β β β β Peter could not have been more helpful. We arrived in our camper van in a rush to go on a wine cyling tour. Peter parked our van in a tight spot & we got off cycling. When we got back he had even connected the power.
The facilities are great & very clean. The kitchen has everything. The showers are hot & clean. The wireless is free & fast.
What more could you ask for in Renwick.

β β β β β Fantastic service and great experience.
We came for the vineyard bike tours. Peter, the hostel manager, made it easy for us to hire bikes and took us through the best route to take.
The facilities are great. Really good WiFi and pool table which is free to use.
After our stay we realised we forgot a phone charger. Peter was so lovely and offered to drop it back to us.

β β β β β I stayed here for 2 nights in room 5. A private room with en-suite. Some people may be put off by their first impressions which is a fairly tight car park. However, once you get by this (and the owner is always on hand to help you navigate this area), you can start to appreciate the place. The main building is flanked by a beautiful garden with loads of comfy chairs and hammocks to relax in. The room does the essentials really well. Good WiFi and possibly one of the best showers in New Zealand.
However, it is the host, Peter, whose personal touch really elevates this from good to special. He is always on hand to make personal recommendations about where to go in the area and has an in depth knowledge of the local vineyards. Very enjoyable stay.

β β β β β Perfect place to stay to bike around to the wineries. Peter is a wealth of knowledge and will tell you the best places to go depending on your taste. Great kitchen as well! Feels very homely there.

β β β β β Host Pete is an enthusiastic, welcoming treat, his passion for hosting experiences really shows. Extremely knowledgeable about local vineyards, and thorough in his welcoming tour.
Facilities are clean and the kitchen surprisingly modern and well stocked.
Bike hire was easy and he allowed us to pitch right in the garden which worked a charm.
Really enjoyed our stay, cheers Pete

β β β β β Comfortable bed, quite, tidy and cozy place to stay. I just loved chillling out in the sunny and spacious garden. Helpful and welcoming host Peter. Fun tours and rides offered right there. Very satisfied!
