About Wesley Primary School
The CASS class at Wesley Primary is a satellite class of Central Auckland Specialist School. The students who attend our class here are enrolled with Central Auckland Special School and attend school each day in their classroom at Wesley Primary school . Warmly welcomed into the Wesley community, the presence of our class onsite creates opportunities for all students to achieve within a connected, inclusive, diverse and valuing learning community.The vision is that all those connected to the school feel proud of their identity and able to participate fully in school life
The CASS class caters for students with intellectual and physical disabilities who need specialist learning programmes, therapy and staff support to reach their potential as learners. Our aim is to provide our students with the highest quality teaching and learning in a setting best suited to their needs. We provide and create a community for our students and families of acceptance, understanding, advocacy and opportunity.
We view each student as a unique learner. We follow the New Zealand Curriculum which is adapted to ensure our students become effective communicators and independent lifelong learners. Whilst most of the school programme takes place within the class itself, opportunities for inclusion are actively sought and encouraged with groups and individual students with the wider school community across the day.

Offer diversified teaching and form a great partnership between teachers and the parents and family of their students to help foster better education and learning for the children. Their chess club is flourishing and does help boost students' confidence and skill.
