- Previously worked for Nagel Consultants Ltd working on local building projects such as Puke Ariki Library and Museum and The Waterfront Motel.
- Passionate about the Taranaki region with a love of the surf and mountain.
- When Dorrien is not carrying out Engineering design, he is busy raising a young family with his wife Phoebe and sneaking in a bit of surfing.
