About Whangamata Physiotherapy
I grew up in Te Poi – a beautiful rural village nestled at the base of the Kaimai ranges. The land that my family was blessed to call home was bordered by Waiomou stream. As an older teen I was fortunate to form lots of fond memories here in Whangamatā. After finishing up at Matamata College, I headed south to study Physiotherapy at the University of Otago. Since graduating in 2012 I have always envisioned running my own practice. I am super excited and proud to see this dream come to life. I am trained in dry needling (a form of acupuncture), physio-led Pilates, functional medicine for physiotherapists and am currently training in manual lymphatic drainage with the Dr Vodder School.
I have worked in a range of private practice clinics in Aotearoa and the UK, including here in Whangamatā and overseas in Norwich (England) and Edinburgh (Scotland). After visiting more than 20 countries around the world, Whangamatā remains my favourite place and I am so pleased to call this paradise home again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Since walking into Tracey's client for a shoulder injury, I then got talking to her about having long covid. She has been amazing helping my recovery with this having had her own experiences with fatigue and also knowing how to help with brain injuries, the nervous system and breathing. Couldn't reccomend her more as I think she will be fundermental to a lot of people's lives with long covid. I wish I could take her home with me in my pocket. Just awesome!
