★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite a pretty spot, pleasant enough but beware the sandflies. A small amount of bird life, couple of seats and bins are handy. Not an off leash area for dogs, although not everyone follows the rules.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1st of September 2020. It must be spring and being such a beautiful morning, I went to check out the Whau Valley Dam. She's looking spectacular, immaculately maintained and full of water. A perfect place to have your morning stroll, a bit of fly fishing or just sitting and relaxing, reading a book or soaking up the tranquil atmosphere.
