The fish was lovely but the pork belly was a disappointment was tough and chewy think it was over cooked. The waitress asked how we were enjoying the pork belly and when I said it was a bit stringy she said very good and left. It was obviously a rhetorical question. Judging by the reviews and the price was expecting something really top notch and it just wasn't

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a proper hidden gem just outside of Tauranga. Super friendly staff, nice atmosphere and a great vegan menu which is better than any I managed to find in the city. My non-vegan family loved their courses too. Make sure you book in advance as this place fills up quick and for good reason.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been there several times for lunch and meals/service have always been consistently good. Booked last week for dinner, mentioning it was our silver wedding anniversary (and again on arrival). Not looking for any discounts/deals, but a simple 'congratulations' would have been appreciated. The meal was OK but when given the desert menu, ordered the Benoffee Pie only to be told they didn't have any. Would be good to tell people what was and was not available when handing out the menus

I personally love trying the cocktail list out and last night my selection was a Margarita or three , with strong punchy flavours. They were perfect…..
All our meals were divine as usual from fish and chips to chicken risotto, my choice last night was Pepperoni Pizza and beer battered fries. A somewhat different choice for me but truly delicious…
The White House is a must visit destination in the Tauranga area.

Who ever there Chef is has a lot of talent, great flavors, artist flare also use eatable flowers from there own garden.. We don't normally have dessert am glad we did this time, Affogato with Bailey shot and Black Forrest. Also like to say coming back home to this local ingredients makes me miss my home more!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful little spot just off SH2. The food is top notch and the service is probably some of the best I’ve had in NZ. Had the calamari and the gnocchi & both were delicious and well presented. The calamari was the most tender I’ve ever had and would definitely recommend if you are a squid! Definitely will be coming here whenever I’m coming down from Auckland.
