Just the right place for a summer gathering, or a walk of the dog ?, pleasant, breezy, cool in the shade; with a short trip on the train to tawa's tekapu road station, your afternoon is made.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pleasant spot with good facilities and walks. Has a bit of damage from recent floods (July 21) and most paths are swampy over winter. Gumboots a must.
