The Windress Home Appliances story began in 1972, when Don Windress started the business in response to a growing demand for appliance repair and servicing.

These days the machines look a bit different, but the principles that saw Windress grow from strength to strength over the years remain the same. We still strive to deliver excellent customer service and electrical expertise across, the North Shore (Glenfield, Northcote, Birkenhead, Devonport, Takapuna, Milford, Mairangi Bay, Browns Bay and Torbay), Hibiscus Coast, Whangaparaoa, Orewa, Silverdale, Dairy Flat and Wainui, as well as surrounding areas, such as Greenhithe, Coatesville, and Hobsonville.

Jeff Windress became Managing Director of Windress Home Appliances in 1980. Since then, Windress has continued to build its reputation as a trusted repair agent with customers, suppliers and distributors alike.

Just had similar experience with Windress. First time customer. I wish Panasonic Customer service refer me to someone else. I will contact Panasonic today to raise a complaint and to tell them about the horrible experience. I was charged $80 call out fee which I have no problem with and $20 for the first 0.25 minutes. We have pulled the machine away from the wall, to save some time, so everything was ready for him when he arrives. But Windress Technician was not even in my house for 5 minutes. He did not even open any panels of the machine; he was on the floor, flashed his light through a little vent and said β€œthis will cost approximately $450 - $550.00. He will not be able to fix this the same day, and have to take it with him. We told the Windress Technician, its ok, he can leave. We where charged the full 25min When we contacted Windress and query the $20 for 0.25 minutes, she said this is what was agreed on the phone. But the morel of the story is, he was in my house for 5 minutes and I am paying for the full 0.25 minutes. At the end we got someone else out on the same day, opened one of the panels, fixed the problem. The call out fee less and machine fixed in 20 minutes. Which cost me at the end $100.00. I will not recommend using Windress to anyone. It is all about money and not services

Very happy with services from Windress. Fast service at a very reasonable rate. They were able to do first call out within one day of initial phone call. Found our fridge fan was faulty and came back to replace within the next 2 days. Only took him 10 mins and overall cost was $240. Great!

Extraordinarily poor service and a overpriced unprofessional service. Stay away. Cost $400 and took 3 weeks to do literally nothing. Very poor time availability unable to return the machine in the same suburb that they are based for literally weeks. Insist payment is made prior to job completion despite not fixing the problem. Would have been better off putting $400 through the washing machine.

Freezer malfunction in lockdown!!! Horrors! Geoff came the same day we called for help, ordered and installed the part two days later. Great service. Thank you very much

I recently employed this company twice, they were very reasonable, on time, reliable, and gave the best accurate advice. I can highly recommend this company over others who do the same job.

Poor service that lacks attention to detail. Both service person and office people then try to explain away valid concerns about service - dishonest. Asked to inspect heat pump and dishwasher. Did not lay hands on dishwasher at all but merely watched the machine count down on 2 modes despite being asked to check that all modes are working. When issue was raised, offered to come back for further charge. Not one star as they were able to send out a service person on short notice, although wished that they didn't as might have got a better service elsewhere. May be they were able to response quickly as poor quality servicing leads to lack of customers. Would not use again or recommend.

There guys are absolutely useless and very rude near new Electrolux washer with 10 year motor warranty on motor. Washer is one year old told me there was not warranty as i got of a friend that was killed. Was told by Electrolux to contact them what joke stay well well away from Windress no integrity what so ever.can not even understand what a 10 year warranty is.

We had a misfortune of dealing with Windress Home Appliances. Our LG washing machine front door glass cracked and we were recommended to contact Windress for a replacement part. It took months for the part to arrive after we had to pay up front for it. as it turned out it they ordered wrong part and it took forever to have it returned. Person we were dealing with over the phone and email was unhelpful and could not care less to try and assist us. My advice to anyone considering using this business is to stay away from them .
