★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Attended a wedding... Gardens need attention... Shabby, lawns not cut, leaves everywhere that could have been cleared before the service, stagnant water in the pond.... Food was very average / bordering on inedible (cold, tasteless and "gourmet potatoes" were actually RAW). DELAYS to provide enough food (refilling trays) for the final 2 tables... they ran out of meat so some people missed out and got salad and cold veggies, deserts were pitiful and obviously pre-frozen and very dry.

We looked around a few different vendors and found Windy Ridge to be the most accommodating, even serving our canapés and drinks at our offsite ceremony site. Nothing was too hard and the communication was fantastic. Food was amazing, we appreciated that they were flexible with changing out some food choices and accommodated for dietary requirements. Don’t leave this venue off your wedding venue list! Chris & Steph

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Where do I even start? I first booked my wedding here in the Secret Garden in 2019 which was about 2 years before my wedding. Tracey was amazing and showed us around the venue, and answered every single question that we had! From then on, the process was super simple. Danielle is honestly a wedding planning genius and I don't know what I would have done without her! Throughout the process, there was clear and concise communication especially in regards to changes brought about by covid. The actual day went off without a hitch. We had so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was and how it was set up perfectly for weddings! Highly, highly, highly recommend this venue for weddings. It and the staff were perfection!

From walking in along the gorgeous little Flower garden and past the pretty Fairy lights out front (perfect backdrop for a before dinner photo.) I felt a really nice ambience to the place. The food was Absolutely Scrumptious and so Tastily and Craftily put together. I opted for the Mushroom Arancini & the Salted Crispy Tofu. The TOFU flavour explosion was to die for! Absolutely PERFECTLY cooked and a very light crisp fry on the outside. Compliments to the chef, wow! Well done! For desert even better or at least breaking even, I chose the Sticky rice pudding mouss mango sorbet and it was seriously AMAZING! The flavours that come together are well crafted. I would love to come back again and I 100% recommend everyone tries this restaurant at least once!! You will want to come back and try more next time! Thank you for a wonderful evening ?✨??

Windy Ridge Function Centre in Ohaupo is the best and most amazing place that I could have imagined.
Danielle and the team are fantastic. Danielle is a complete lifesaver with all the suggestions, things to remember and questions at any time are always answered. Couldn't not have had the day that we had without her in it.
Was the most perfect day that I have could imagined ????
