★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dogs allowed on lead and a great hike to do up into the hills. There are toilets and lots of space for camping and a stream nearby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely site however…. DoC site said there were only 7 bookings but when we arrived the place was heaving. One family in particular took up about 10 possible sites and played their music at full volume wrecking the experience for us

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ would had scored it 5 and my new favorite campsite if only there isn’t a lot of sandflies.
one of the few campsites that had stayed in that has flushing toilet.
overall was a good stay and fortunately i am not allergic to sandflies.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had one lovely nights stay on the Friday night. Great walks to be had. Settled down on Saturday evening and all of a sudden one vehicle screamed into the campsite and spun around. A young person got out of the vehicle and leant on his bonnet and started drinking a beer. Shortly after 7 more vehicles arrived began doing donuts on the grass and several young people got out of their cars and began drinking. We felt intimidated and unsafe so packed up and left. We were very disappointed as the weekend had started so well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited here Waitangi weekend, Friday night. 5 stars for the beautiful wee spot it is. Not the best time to go when it's pouring with rain. Popular spot tho, there was at least a dozen other vans there. Good cost at $8/person.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty gd size campsite, a gd view out to open space field, 2 toilets n not a long drop. DOC staff came to check bookings n clean toilets. There are few walks one can trek from 20mins to 3hrs give n take.
