★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome hut! 26 bunks, and a logburner. Clean and tidy, with breathtaking vies, a short walk away. A fantastic family experience. Don't forget your hut tickets -purchase these from DOC offices.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely worth the hike. Went from woolshed creek carpark up the rhyolite ridge track past the bus stop and over to the waterfalls and onto woolshed creek. Then back down the miners track way to the carpark. Roughly just over 5 hours.

Well maintained by the volunteer workers.
Keep it clean if you visit and stay safe

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hut, one of my favourites. Great place to take a family of for your first tramp. Pays to take a bedroll and earplugs as it can be quite busy at times. Definitely worth going midweek for the peace and quiet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hut to stay at. We walked in with kids and found the route beautiful. Once at hut you were very comfy and clean and lovely suspension bridge and water pools to play at. Easy to do other walks from and return to. Good job

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Miners and then Four Wheel Drive Tracks to Woolshed Creek Hut - Fantastic day or overnight walk with kids. With a 6, 8 and 10 year old and another family of similar ages, it took 2.5 hours to get to the hut with plenty of stops to explore the mining paraphernalia, walk down to the river and harvest honey from the trees. So much for kids to enjoy along the way, it's excellent. The kid were pretty tired in the last stretch to the hut, but the views are worth it. The hut and surrounding area is comfortable and plenty to explore. We hope to stay overnight in the future. The walk back is much easier and took us 1 hour 50min. Toilets at the carpark and at the hut. Brillant day!
