About Worldwide School of English
Worldwide was established in 1989 by three businessmen, and the original premise was at 1 Queen Street. In 1996, the school was purchased by two of their senior staff and changed the school name and moved to its following location at 8 Commerce street.
Then in 2014, Worldwide School moved to their current location. 80 Anzac Avenue is a six-floor building that Worldwide School shares with another private provider, Crown Institute of Studies. Moving there marked the beginning of another period of growth, where from 2016, Worldwide School had at any one time up to 250 students and usually from 25-30 different nationalities.
In September 2021, the owners sold Worldwide School to KIEL, a trusted partner who owns and operates the Crown Institute of Studies. The two schools will not be merging but will be working as partners to enhance each other's educational services. WWSE now has access to more training resources and facilities, more options for further studies (vocational qualifications or pathways to university studies) and employment opportunities.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Over 15 Years ago I spent 9 months there and since then not only have I been in contact with the friends I made at the time, but many of us have travelled to each other’s country to meet our group of friends.
The staff was incredibly professional, easy going, friendly and always willing to help the students with whatever problem you could have whether it had anything to do with the school or not.
It trully is a great place to learn the language and the kiwis are by far the friendliest and nicest people I’ve ever encountered ever.
If you’re looking for a place to learn english in ridiculously breathtaking and beautiful country with hundreds of activities to do this is the place for you.
It was without a doubt one of the best experiences I ever had in my life.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Since the school follows the philosophy that the perfect English book exists, which is true, and therefore works with copies of books. Unfortunately, this means that the lessons have no structure. We discussed four grammar issues during my three week stay. A shame because the teachers are basically good.
The activities were also rather disappointing.
there are certainly better schools.
