★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The milk teas are made with what seem to be higher quality tea and fresh milk, while the fruit teas have real fruit freshly chopped up per order! The quality does come with a slight increase in price versus the other milktea shop (like $1-2). Ultimately you get what you pay for, and the tea you pay for is pretty good here.
There are a lot of choices to choose from (tea, milk tea, fruit tea, hot tea, tea with cream cheese). Customization is quite limited however. There is only a few types of topings and you can't customize your sugar and ice level. Despite these cons, it's still definitely worth a try even if you're not a milk tea enthusiast.
Update: I came back a few times after this review and you can now choose your sugar and ice level.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably one of the better tea houses around. Unlike other Wu Cha franchises (Ie. Dominion road), staff were relatively friendly and service was quick and easy. Wu Cha Albany has a wide selection of teas and smoothies. We purchased dirty milk teas and we really enjoyed it. Taste was amazing and presentation was on point. Would definitely go back if I was in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think I've been going to the wrong Wu Cha. This one beats the Dominion Road by 5 stars. The service was great and the atmosphere of the place added to the experience. Their dirty milk tea had more syrup and effort than the Dominion Road one and I believe the rest of the range is great. Gutted my local Wu Cha isn't the same. I'll be coming back here after having ribs down the road ? please open one in West Auckland!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I ordered my drink, I asked for less ice and less sugar, the staff suggested me that for certain products reducing sugar or ice would affect the taste, they were very patient and kind. I insisted my order because I am conscious about my calories intake and they understood. Honestly, it did affect the taste and feels a bit weird, but I appreciate they explained to me that it could be the result. I couldn’t think of that if they didn’t suggest, and I always explain to my friends how changing sugar and ice level could make a tea so different ever since?. Customization sometimes may not work well, because customers don’t understand all the info, it would be nice if they could kindly let us know. Will definitely come back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is no ordinary bubble milk tea place like the others. There’s so many drinks to choose from, it’s impossible! I got the hand-made taro milk tea which was absolutely delicious! Staff were patient and friendly too which is another plus. Will come again to try the others.

They had different kinds of beverage styles to the “norm” Taiwan milk teas which were interesting and were presentable. The shop had reserved car parks for visitors. Recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pearls in milk tea were not fresh and it was very tough. Third time we gave this location a go since opening and unfortunately hasn't improved. There are better options in the area, don't waste your time and money here.
