★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Totally disappointed, new owners who are charging like wounded bulls. Charging customers for the packaging well over what they pay for each container, you don't mark up your packing to make a profit. The profit is in the such. Only putting one soya sauce in a package where I bought 15 pieces, the soy didn't go far. They also charge for paper bags at 50cents each they cost no more than a couple of cents each. I feel ripped off. The tuna sushi was just canned tuna with mayo, no cucumber or capsicum. Don't charge customers for packaging, no other food place does this and dont be so stingy on the Soy Sauce and ginger . The sushi was average

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sadly language appeared to be a little bit of an issue when communicating queries around menu items. Food was reasonably priced and well presented. Sadly they had just sold out of all of their ready-made sushi which was what we where hoping to purchase.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Satisfied our Japanese food craving. The place is quiet and simple which we appreciated very much. Down to earth japanese food. Salmon sashimi slices were generous. Curry was served with carrots, potatos and green peas. My kids loved the gyoza. Parking wasnt difficult as its not a busy strip. Will definitely come back

BUT...
The Chicken Katsu Don I got today was super disappointing.
This is the second time I've received a Don in a styrofoam container. Last time I checked, Don meant bowl in Japanese. Not only does this really cheapen the experience, but some people would say this is not ideal for the environment.
Secondly, your menu could really use some Katsu clarification. You've got two Katsu Dons on there, but neither of them seem to be the style of Katsu most people would be familiar with.. you know, the one with Tonkatsu sauce? I had to explain what I wanted to the person on the phone, and they acted like I was really putting them out.
When I was picking up, I asked if I could have some ginger with the Don - the young girl behind the counter gave me a pathetically small amount, which I thought was pretty lame considering your other Dons come with ginger by default.
Anyway on to the actual food - again, the styrofoam container probably had a lot to do with this (psychological factor matters!) but it just seemed really budget looking. There was nowhere near enough sauce, no salad, no slice of lemon... nothing interesting about it. Just lightly sauced katsu with a load of dry white rice. And I hate to keep harping on about it, but it was in a bloody styrofoam container!
Anyway..... I probably won't get the Chicken Katsu again, but I'll certainly be back for the sushi.

Fresh, high quality ingredients and extra special design of sushi.
So much better than saint pierres sushi (the basic b****) of sushi.
It’s obvious in the quality and content of the sushi that the chefs here have a true appreciation and passion for sushi.
